Free Friends - Sweet Nothing

Diving headfirst into rising Baltimore-based band Free Friends' latest EP, "Sweet Nothing," feels like being thrown into the midst of a pop-punk revival party. With guest appearances from industry heavyweights like Makeout, Hit The Lights, glimmers, and SUCKERPUNCH! all underscored by Lauren’s evocative cello playing, this EP promises a whirlwind of emotions that will leave listeners buzzing long after the music stops.

The adrenaline-fueled journey kicks off with "Save Me (Ft Makeout)," a track that hits like a shot of pure energy straight to the veins. From its infectious hooks to its heart-pounding tempo, it'll have you singing along in no time. Kyle from Makeout's contribution only amps up the intensity, making it the perfect opener to set the tone for what's to come.

"Taking Time (Ft Hit The Lights)" slows things down just enough to catch your breath, but don't mistake its laid-back vibe for weakness. With lyrics that cut deep and melodies that linger long after the song ends, it's a gut-wrenching anthem that'll have you feeling every word. "Worry Free (Ft glimmers)" serves up a refreshing change of pace, with its Blink-y vibes and infectious energy from glimmers’ vocals that's impossible to resist. Far from being just another track, it's a standout moment that'll have you hitting repeat before the song's even over.

"Last Flight" takes things to new heights with its airy, anthemic sound. Echoey distorted vocals and driving drums propel the track forward, making it the perfect closer for a live show. It's the kind of song that’ll leave a crowd with fists in the air and a smile on their face.

Closing out the EP is "Checkpoint (Ft SUCKERPUNCH!)," a classic Free Friends track that's bursting with energy and attitude. With its punchy riffs and catchy lyrics, it's a reminder of why we fell in love with pop-punk in the first place.

But Free Friends aren't content to just drop the mic and walk away. They're already gearing up for a series of tour dates and festival appearances to bring their new music to fans across the country. "We're stoked to unleash this beast of an EP on the world" says Ben. "We've poured our hearts and souls into these songs, and we can't wait for fans old and new to experience the ride."

So, grab your headphones, turn up the volume, and let Free Friends take you on a journey through the highs and lows of life with their latest EP Sweet Nothing.
